Abstraction

I guess I'm not done with fake-fauvism after all. This is me.

I am an academic, and to understand what I do, you have to understand what I know. Lately I've been experimenting with an art style known as "fauvism", an art style that prizes emotional expression, bold and obvious brushstrokes, and (usually warm) emotional colors over realism. Normally I try to follow realism in my art, fiction or writing, but sometimes I just want to cut loose and paint what I feel. So when I decided to enter ~PandaUdon and ~A-yana's "All About You Contest," I had to paint my heart: dark and cold in a bright, warm world, the embarrassment I feel just for being my only tie to the rest of humanity.

  This contest is for all Medias of art... by this we mean ALL medias (eg: illustration, literature, photography, sculpture, music...).
  We understand that 'music' cannot be uploaded on this site so we decided to open our boundaries for it. (More details in the submission part).

  So what is this contest about?
  It is about YOU!! You have to create an art piece that relates to who you are. What makes you the person that you are today? We hope that through the beauty of art, you would express your own fabulous self. That is what art is about right? Express

And for contrast/comparison purposes, since Fauvism shouldn't even be judged alongside realism from the same artist here are some of my attempts at fauvism. These are a more appropriate basis of comparison than my other work.
